What I wanted was something that could bring back the spirit of Kerala’s 90s. That warm, humorous, rooted storytelling we grew up watching.
Stories that made us smile without trying too hard. Stories that felt familiar, like something happening in our own neighbourhood. That is when a comic narrative struck me.
The first image that came to my mind was a thief and a wedding function. Two elements deeply rooted in our cultural imagination, instantly relatable, and full of scope for humour.
The idea was to tell the story in a light hearted, funny way, where the product naturally becomes part of the situation instead of being forcefully pushed into the frame.
Originally, I wanted to execute this as a live action concept. But due to practical limitations, we decided to bring the idea to life using AI video creation.
Even then, the soul of the concept remained the same, comic storytelling with a nostalgic Kerala flavour.
Because sometimes, the best way to sell purity is not by saying it loudly, but by letting a good story do the talking.
